Apperance and versatility wise is pretty straightforward in the description and pictures. I'm 5'9" and weigh 145-150 pounds and the medium fits great. I felt super comfortable getting in and out of the pool and didn't have to worry about anything popping out unexpectedly in front of my super conservative family. The color, cut and elasticity were exactly what I was expecting. I got several compliments.
